Play Space
Our Play Centre is designed for play for children aged 12 years & under.
- Large two-level structure with tunnels, platforms, rope bridge and two slides, including a large triple twist curly slide! For ages 4-12.
- Separate Baby & toddler area with slide, building bricks & activity panels. For ages 0-3.
- Mini-speedway with foot-to-floor push cars, suitable for toddlers and children up to age 5.
With oversize viewing windows into our play space, our café is bright & welcoming for you to gather with your family and friends! Lots of seating options for small to medium-size groups, including our popular booth seat and couch areas for you to relax and spend time with one another. CCTV allows you to watch your children from our café area.
Our café serves a variety of hot & cold snacks, with homestyle goodies, gluten-free, vegetarian & healthy options available.
Our Wega coffee machine is the pride of our café and we aim to provide you with the best coffee we can! We serve Endless Cup coffee which is locally roasted in Mt Gambier, Project Tea loose leaf teas, Lindt Hot Chocolate (Indulge Your Senses gluten-free Hot Chocolate is also available) and Australian-made gluten free Bondi Chai in Vanilla Honey or Club Cinnamon styles.
Baby Care
FUNKY Hearts Inc is a breastfeeding friendly centre - we are registered with the Australian Breastfeeding Association as one of their ‘Breastfeeding Welcome Here’ venues.
But we also understand your baby might be distracted, and some parents like to feed privately. Therefore we have a specially designed Baby Care room for your comfort, which includes:
- Private Feeding Areas
- Change Tables & Sanitary nappy disposal
- Washing Sink - for those unexpected whole-outfit changes!
- Microwave for baby feeding needs.
- Our Baby Care Room has been awarded the maximum 5 STARS from the Australian Breastfeeding Association - the highest achievable star rating available!
Clothing Exchange
Our Children’s Clothing Exchange is a part of our not-for-profit organisation to benefit the community, and is not a commercial operation. It is a way for families to help each other. Help your family, but we ask you also give clothing to help others too. Donations always welcome.
- Items are sized from newborn to 16.
- Bring in your child’s gently used outgrown or unwanted clothes. We operate on a “swapping” basis. We will count up the number of items you bring & apply credits for the total amounts (different types of credits apply). You can then use those credits to “shop” in the exchange!
- No money is exchanged.

Lending Library
Next to our Baby Care room we have a small library of family-friendly resources on topics like parenting, relationships & family life. They include DVDs as well as books, all available for short-term loan of 3 weeks.
